An Historic Evening with Holocaust Survivor & "Mengele Twin" Peter Somogyi

Monday, March 16, 2020
6:00 pm8:00 pm
Trabant Theatre, Trabant Student Center, Newark, DE, 19717

Peter Somogyi was born in Pecs, Hungary in 1933. Peter and his twin brother, Thomas, were the youngest of three children born to an observant Jewish family.
As a young boy, the Nazis invaded and he & his family were sent to Auschwitz. There, he was introduced to a Nazi officer named Dr Josef Mengele. Dr Mengele was notorious for his (often times fatal) experiments on twins, dwarfs etc.
After surviving the horrors of Auschwitz, and being experimented on by the infamous Dr. Josef Mengele, Peter and his brother immigrated to Israel in 1949. He then eventually made his way to America where he settled down and built his beautiful family.
With the number of Holocaust survivors dwindling, Peter has made it his mission to share this piece of history with the world.
This is a truly unique opportunity for one to bear witness to first hand testimony of humanity's darkest hour.
**This event is sponsored by Chabad at the University of Delaware -- it is therefore #FREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
