A Commitment to Community Security

Jewish Federation of Delaware launched the Community Security Campaign to directly fund enhanced security measures, professional training, and the critical infrastructure to help safeguard our communal spaces and residents. Donations will support JFed Security, whose mission is to ensure Jews can live safely and proudly by offering a multi-faceted approach to safeguarding Jewish communities and encompassing a range of vital services, made possible by our generous partners and donors.

JFed Security provides proactive safety support by vetting individuals and incidents, sharing timely information with security staff and authorities. Our team also builds strong partnerships with law enforcement and community partners through collaborative planning.

JFed Security is proud to host a Regional Threat Center in partnership with the Secure Community Network (SCN), the official safety and security organization of the Jewish community in North America. This hub is directly connected to SCN's national technology stack, data platforms, and analysts to create one fully integrated "Virtual Shield" to enhance the safety and preparedness of Jewish communities across North America.

Using Our Security Services

The JFed Security team is comprised of a highly trained full-time professional team and is supported by over 50 part-time armed security guards, who are all retired law enforcement officers.  Our team constantly monitors open-source information to keep a careful eye on extremist rhetoric and activity, anti-Israel or antisemitic rhetoric or ideologies, social media commentary and suspicious activity or behavior.

We are stronger together, and JFed Security is committed to ensuring our community’s safety.  You can report a threat, incident or suspicious activity related to our Jewish organizations, facilities or community members through our Incident Report Form

Jewish Federation of Delaware is dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of our community. Through preparedness, partnerships, and training, our goal is to protect our community and staff on the Jewish Community Campus and our family of agencies, as well as advise and coordinate on security for area synagogues and other community institutions.
