Jewish Federation Security

A Commitment to Community Security

Jewish Federation of Delaware is dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of our community. Through preparedness, partnerships, and training, our goal is to protect our community and staff on the Jewish Community Campus and our family of agencies, as well as advise and coordinate on security for area synagogues and other community institutions.

JFed Security, an agency of the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey, was established in 2021.  JFed Security is an initiative designed to ensure the safety of our local Jewish communities and supports our Jewish community’s security needs in our Federation’s coverage area of Camden, Burlington and Gloucester counties, as well as eight additional counties in New Jersey and the entire state of Delaware.

Using Our Security Services

The JFed Security team is comprised of a highly trained full-time professional team and is supported by over 50 part-time armed security guards, who are all retired law enforcement officers.  Our team constantly monitors open-source information to keep a careful eye on extremist rhetoric and activity, anti-Israel or antisemitic rhetoric or ideologies, social media commentary and suspicious activity or behavior.

We are stronger together, and JFed Security is committed to ensuring our community’s safety.  You can report a threat, incident or suspicious activity related to our Jewish organizations, facilities or community members through our Incident Report Form
