In Feb 2019 Uruguay became the first Latin American country to adopt the Intern'l Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) Working Definition of Antisemitism. Pres Pou, an AJC Project Interchange alumnus took office on March 1 prior to the pandemic in Uruguay.
