The Jewish Federation’s Jewish Community Relations Council is pleased to welcome back David Horovitz, Founding Editor of the online newspaper The Times of Israel for a series of online briefings about the latest events happening in Israel and the Middle East. For the first session, Horovitz will focus on Israel’s upcoming elections and whether or not Benjamin Netanyahu can reclaim his title as Prime Minister.

David Horovitz is the founding editor of The Times of Israel, the Jerusalem-based current affairs website which provides independent coverage of Israel, the region and the Jewish world. It is the fastest-growing news site in the Jewish world, with 5.5 million monthly users and over 20 million monthly page views. It also publishes in French, Arabic, Hebrew, and Persian.

Horovitz was previously the editor-in-chief of The Jerusalem Post (2004-2011). Before that, he was editor and publisher of the award-winning news magazine The Jerusalem Report. Horovitz is an award-winning author who lectures widely in Israel, the United States and Europe on Israeli current affairs, and has conducted landmark interviews with a succession of Israeli and international figures. He offers insightful analysis, carefully and honestly looking at all perspectives.

Horovitz immigrated to Israel from London in 1983. He is married to Lisa and they have three children.
