Adas Kodesch Shel Emeth presents its 12th AKSE Academy, an afternoon of learning about different facets of Judaism as they play out in contemporary life. Session 1: choose “Jews and Climate Change” (David Brown) or “King David and his Psalms: Lessons of Courage and Inspiration for Tough Times” (Eric Doroshow). Session 2: choose “Portrayal of Orthodox Jews on Screen Today” (Barry Solan) or “Halacha and Meat Substitutes” (Irene Plotzker). Session 3: choose “Introduction to Jewish Genealogy” (Mark Weinberg) or “Judaism and Healing” (David Epstein). Schmooze and nosh between sessions.
