Antisemitism in the U.S.: What the Research Shows & Actions We Can Take with the ADL's Abbey Krain

Join us on Thursday, November 6, 7 PM for a presentation/discussion with Abbey Krain, Senior Associate Regional Director, ADL Philadelphia (serving Eastern PA, Southern NJ & DE). We will learn about the ADL's work, the current state of antisemitism, how we are personally impacted and what we can do to combat this hatred.
ADL is the leading anti-hate organization in the world. Founded in 1913, its timeless mission is “to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all.” Today, ADL continues to fight all forms of antisemitism and bias, using innovation and partnerships to drive impact. A global leader in combating antisemitism, countering extremism and battling bigotry wherever and whenever it happens, ADL works to protect democracy and ensure a just and inclusive society for all.
Abbey Krain began her role as the Senior Associate Regional Director at ADL Philadelphia in July of 2023. She is a passionate Jewish communal professional and spent the majority of her career as a synagogue executive director. Abbey has had the opportunity to work in reform, conservative, orthodox, secular and different Jewish cultural environments. Abbey graduated from Brandeis University with a B.A. in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies and has her MSW from Washington University in St. Louis. Abbey loves to talk about college (her twins graduated in May of 2024 and her youngest is in his junior year), books, gardening and her citrus trees (which include grapefruit, lemon, mandarin orange and etrog).
