Nina Appel escaped antisemitism as a young child in Europe to building a remarkable life in America. She graduated from Columbia Law in 1959 and was a colleague of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Nina became the first woman dean of Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
Her story reminds us that courage, education, and opportunity overcomes hatred. She now lives in Wilmington, and she is an enthusiastic supporter of the Federation.
