Yom HaZikaron | Israel Memorial Day
Yom HaZikaron (Israel's Memorial Day) is the national remembrance day honoring fallen Israeli military personnel and victims of terrorism. Observed on the 4th of Iyar on the Hebrew calendar—the day before Yom HaAtzmaut (Independence Day)—it is a deeply somber period of profound reverence and communal mourning.
In Delaware, we plan a joint Yom HaZikaron – First We Remember | Yom Ha’Atzmaut – Then We Celebrate, program led by Federation’s Israel & Overseas Committee and our Community Shlicha.
