Summer Blood Drive for Blood Bank of Delmarva
Please join Blood Bank of Delmarva on June 6th for Siegel Jewish Community Center’s Summer Blood Drive! We have opened our doors to help Blood Bank of Delmarva host this emergency blood drive and are asking your help by taking an hour out of your day on June 6th to make a lifesaving donation. The blood drive will be in the Auditorium from 8:00am to 1:00pm.
Blood Bank of Delmarva requires 350 donations each and every day in order to be able to provide lifesaving blood products to all the hospitals on the Delmarva Peninsula. Your participation in the blood drive on June 6th will help them meet this goal. Did you know that your one donation can save up to three lives? These are the lives of our friends, family, neighbors and the Siegel community.
Blood Bank of Delmarva has kicked off the Summer Blood Drive! Their theme this year is “What Are You Doing This Summer?” While we may take vacations in the summer, the need for blood never takes a vacation. In fact, people are more active in the summer months, which unfortunately leads to more accidents. Thus, the need for blood increases. To thank donors for taking time to donate this summer, Blood Bank of Delmarva is entering every person who presents to donate between May 21st and September 11th into some amazing prizes. The Grand Prize this year is a trip for 4 to Disney! Your donation on June 6th will give you an entry into the drawing.
